Portable Microbiology LIMS — the Microbiology & EM Module on Any Device

CORPEX LIMS runs in the browser, so the Microbiology & EM module opens on tablets as well as desktops. Available on its own or as part of the CORPEX LIMS platform.

Microbiology LIMS

The Same Module, Away From the Bench

CORPEX LIMS is a browser-based web application. The Microbiology & EM module therefore opens on any device with a modern browser, including tablets, so microbiologists can work in cleanrooms, on the plant floor or at a sampling location without walking back to a fixed workstation, as long as the device is connected to your network.

There is no separate app and no second database: what is entered on a tablet is the same record a reviewer sees on a desktop, with the same audit trail and electronic signatures.

What You Can Record Away From the Bench

The supported microbiology features of the module, in any modern browser.

Environmental monitoring

Sterility tests, microbial limits (TAMC/TYMC, with a TAMC calculator) and tests for specified organisms.

Growth promotion & suitability

Growth promotion tests and method suitability recorded for the tests that depend on them.

Isolates & identification

Organisms recovered from examinations and EM are kept in an isolate register with their identification.

Reference cultures

Reference standards and reference cultures, with subculture traceability back to the parent culture.

Review & audit trail

Electronic signatures (name, time, meaning) on review and release, and a hash-chained, tamper-evident audit trail.

One Record, Wherever It Was Entered

Out-of-specification values are flagged at entry for the analyst to acknowledge and can be raised at review as an OOS investigation linked to CAPA. Released results flow to the Certificate of Analysis, which cannot print before release.

Frequently Asked Questions: Microbiology LIMS on Tablets

Can the CORPEX LIMS Microbiology & EM module be used on a tablet?

Yes. CORPEX LIMS is a browser-based web application, so the Microbiology & EM module opens on any device with a modern browser, including tablets, over your network connection. There is no separate app to install.

Is this a separate product from the Microbiology & EM module?

No. It is the same Microbiology & EM module of CORPEX LIMS, used away from the bench. Records entered on a tablet are the same records reviewers see on a desktop, with the same audit trail and electronic signatures.

Does it work offline?

No. CORPEX LIMS runs in the browser against the central system, so the device needs a network connection to the server.

Which microbiology work can be recorded?

Environmental monitoring sessions and monitoring points, microbial examinations including sterility tests, microbial limits (TAMC/TYMC, with a TAMC calculator) and specified organisms, growth promotion, method suitability, isolates and identification, and reference cultures with subculture traceability.

Is the record compliant with 21 CFR Part 11?

The module provides electronic signatures with name, time and meaning on result review and release, and a hash-chained, tamper-evident audit trail, supporting FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 1 data-integrity expectations.
